Distance Learning University

Online learning is one of the many flexible options Strayer University offers to help fit education into the lives of busy working professionals like you. This flexible resource allows you to learn in real time – or any time – making it easier to fit pursuing higher education in with your other responsibilities. You may choose to combine online learning with campus classes, or you can take your entire program online, thereby accommodating even the busiest schedules.

Online courses are challenging and require the same high standards as classroom courses.

Online learning is a different way of taking classes. It’s packed with the same information, is taught by the same faculty, and is held to the same high academic standards as our campus classes. Strayer University offers both real-time (synchronous) and any time (asynchronous) class formats so you’ll have the flexibility you need to schedule your classes around your life

Just be yourself, and work on improving your grades during your final years in high school. The college degree majors with the best starting-salaries after graduation include physical sciences, business administration, and engineering. The overall time-span for higher education is lengthening, because attending college as an undergraduate is increasingly likely to lead to graduate school. It's optimal to attempt the hardest courses that your high school offers, and the worst thing you can do is to drop a hard course just because you're receiving a low grade.

The US News & World Report college ranking methodology has changed many times, and is not made available to public scrutiny. About half of colleges use a waiting list, particularly those which are more selective. One survey suggests that 30% of wait-listed students are eventually accepted, so applicants who are wait-listed should contact the admissions office of their top choice by phone, to declare that they will attend if accepted. Many community colleges have agreements with four-year schools, particularly flagship state universities, so that the transfer of credits is handled smoothly.
